2025 Exterior Pathway
Repaving

Existing Conditions
Due to natural earth movement and age, the current pathway from the dressing room stairs to the front brick walkway was damaged and undermined. It was cracking thereby creating a potential safety, slipping, and tripping hazard. The absence of sufficient expansion joints was likely to cause further deterioration over time. The pathway was slippery when it rained due to its aggregate finish which also posed a safety hazard. The pathway was not accessible to those members and visitors who have mobility issues and need to use scooters, walkers, wheelchairs. etc.

Proposed Solution

  • Improve safety and access for members and visitors, including those with mobility challenges, by providing an even, durable and well-lit pathway around the clubhouse;

  • Eliminate as many hazards as possible in order to minimize the risk of trips, slips, and falls;

  • Enhance visibility and safety while still preserving the Club’s historic aesthetic and garden design.
